Simply feed the pliable beeswax coil through the clip in increments of 3
inches or less. Three inches of candle will burn for approximately one
hour. Set your nights alight with the Candle by the Hour. Our unique
candles are placed on a beautiful copper colored stand and would make a perfect
addition to your home.
The candle was developed in the 1600’s. America had an abundance of beeswax
which they twisted into rope candles. These candles were called courting
candles. The courting candle became a parents way of timing how long a young
gentleman suitor spent with their daughter. The candle burn time would be set by
placing a cut into the candle. The long rope went to a choice suitor all others
got the “short” rope.
Keep free of wick trimmings, matches or any combustible material. Keep
the wick centered and avoid burning candles in drafts. Never leave burning
candles unattended and keep them within sight at all times. Keep all
matches and lighters out of the reach of children and teach everyone in the
family the rules of safe candle use.
