Invented in 1991 and popular worldwide for years, the Babysense V is finally
available in the U.S.
The simplest and most reliable monitor available, the Babysense V is
comprised of two very sensitive sensor pads which are placed under that baby's
mattress, and a high speed microprocessor control unit.
The control unit alerts you with a loud alarm if it does not detect any
movement for 20 seconds or if it detects less then 10 micro-movements per
minute. Even the slightest body motions are registered as movement.
How the Babysense V Works
Our monitor has very sensitive sensor pads, placed under the baby's mattress.
These pads constantly monitor the baby's every movement. Registered by the high
speed microprocessor control unit, movement triggers the flash of a green light.
If movement stops for 20 seconds or if Babysense V detects less then 10
micro-movements per minute, an alarm sounds, a parent or caretaker will be able
to come to the aid of the sleeping baby.
Simple and Safe to Use
The simplest most reliable monitor available, Baby Sense V alerts you with an
alarm if it does not detect the baby's movement. Even the slightest body motions
are registered as movement. These motion patterns trigger a flashing green light
which can be clearly seen from a distance, providing you with peace of mind.
Monitoring is performed without touching the baby. The sensors are connected
to a small, battery operated control unit clipped to the side of the baby's bed.
There is no connection to any electrical outlet, no adjustments required and
loose wires. A low-battery indicator lights when batteries need to be replaced.
The battery life is approximately 6 months.
Why Use Our Monitor?
Of course, parents want to watch over their precious newborns, every single
moment. But even Super-Mom or Dad need sleep, we cannot watch over our precious
ones at all times. Baby Sense V can help and give you a peace of mind, by calling
attention to any lack of movements or unusually slight movement.
Infants move while sleeping and make barely perceptible movements. Parents
are aware that sleep patterns and body movements change during sleep. At times
intervention may even be required.

- Well guys, our Babysense monitor went off this
weekend, and it was no false alarm! James is fine, thanks to the monitor –
but the event could very well have had a very sad ending.

- Hi. My name is Lisa. We purchased one of your
Babysense units for our little daughter when she was born. We wish to thank
you for your wonderful product as the machine saved our baby's life. 2.45am
Monday morning 3 March, 2003 the alarm sounded in Nakita's bedroom. We
responded and found her blue and not breathing. As soon as I picked her up
she started breathing again. All I could think of was what if we didn't have
the sensor. We have encouraged our friends and family to purchase a
Babysense monitor and Thank you once again.
Lisa
- We purchased a Babysense monitor from an
advertisement in a baby magazine before our little girl was born. When she
was four weeks old the alarm went off at four in the morning but I picked
her up in the dark, so we never knew if it was a false alarm...

- It is my wish to thank and praise all the
developers, manufactures and promoters of the "BabySense". Details of the
incident On Sunday April 13, 1997 at 4:00 am I Woke up to the sound of the "Babysense"
alarm. I pushed over to the baby's bed and found her breathless. I picked
her up quickly and I performed CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation), the
color returned to her cheeks and she returned to breath normally...

Tips to Helping keep your Baby Safe
- More ways to keep your BabySafe
- No monitor can substitute for these essential safety guidelines.
- Make sure your baby sleeps on his or her back .
- Never overheat the baby's room.
- Never smoke around your baby.
- Use firm bedding.
- Don't put anything with your baby that could cause suffocation.
Testing the Monitor
Babysense V is a very sensitive device which monitors even the barely
perceptible movements through the mattress during sleep... as a result of this
sensitivity the Babysense V sensor pads may detect movement / vibrations from
inside or outside your baby's room (fans, wind, loud music) and confuse them
with baby's movement. Ensure that all vibration sources are removed before using
the monitor. Avoid touching the monitor when in use or being checked.
To eliminate possibility of exterior effects (wind, movement) and see that it
is working properly, test your Babysense before first use (and every new setup)
and periodically wherever it is used :
TESTING:
- Check that when baby is in bed, the green light flashes.
- Remove baby from the bed and turn off Babysense. After turning off, wait
a few moments (while the mattress shifts from change in weight).
- Turn Babysense ON without moving the bed (WITHOUT BABY IN BED)
- Watch for green light - blinking more than once is NOT correct in this
situation, and will show that exterior disturbance is being read as false
movement.
- Make sure the alarm goes off within 20 seconds (check it with a watch!)
due to absence of movement. Alarm may sound in less than 20 seconds, with or
without preliminary ticking sound.
- Check that the alarm can be heard in all likely locations for listener.
If the alarm does not sound after 20 seconds, locate and eliminate all
surrounding disturbances by actions such as changing ventilation, removing
mobiles, closing windows, repositioning bed, etc. Always keep Parents'
Guide for future reference. And keep packing box for future storage.
