Singing Bird Clock sings its heart out, every hour on the hour. 12 favorite bird songs starting with the House Finch, American Robin, Northern Mockingbird, Blue Jay, House Wren, Tufted Titmouse, Northern Oriole, Mourning Dove, Black-capped chickadee, Northern Cardinal, White-throated Sparrow and the White-brested Nuthatch. The songs are certified by Cornell University’s Ornithology Department. Light sensor turns off the songs at night and back on at dawn. Large 13" diameter quartz clock has beautiful Hunter green rim. Each bird song chirps & warbles for about 12 seconds. Requires 3 AA batteries. Notice how complicated the mockingbird makes his song and for pint-sized passion it's hard to match the thoroughly boisterous chickadee. Informative presentation box shows habitat and interesting details for each bird. The Northern Mockingbird can sing over 200 songs, incorporating not only the purloined songs of other birds, but insects, frogs, even man-made mechanical sounds like the creaky sound of a rusty old weathervane.
